On Sunday, May 7th at the Old Town Hall in Almonte (1-4 pm), the Celtfest will be hosting a fundraising ceili supporting both the Almonte General Hospital/Fairview Manor and the Community Foundation of Ottawa (the Danny O'Connell Memorial Fund). A great line up of Celtic artists will include Terry-Lynn Mahusky, the Ironworks Celtic Session Band, Kyle Fellahauer Band, Dynamite, The Treble Irish Dansers and the Monday Night Fiddlers. Light refreshments provided by Ironworks! See you there!
Last year the Elders rocked the place, with two shows in town including the Celtfest as our headlining act... this year they are BACK! Due mostly to very popular demand, the Elders will, once again, grace our stages with their footstompin' Celtic styles! If you missed them last year, don't miss them this year!
With an amazing crowd, continual Celtic music and dance the 2005 Celtfest went off without a hitch... save a bit of rain. The Elders were a great finally to a festival that featured some of the top Celtic talent in World. A great deal of thanks goes out to all our volunteers who made the show run seamlessly. The headlining Celtfest group, The Elders, and Celtfest organizers are proud to announce a surprise cabaret-style performance at the Old Town Hall in Almonte, Saturday, July 16th at 8pm. Doors open at 7 and tickets are on sale now at the Chamber of Commerce Center as well as the Millar's Tale bookstore.
